Larkspur General Meeting - Nov 2023
Enjoy snacks and light drinks at 5:30pm while meeting neighbors, then listen to speaker presentations starting at 6:00pm.
Ariel Mendez/City Councilor will provide an update on the City’s work on houselessness.
Mike Krantz/Police Chief will provide an overview of crime in Larkspur and give an update on the camping code implementation to date.
City Transportation Staff will provide an overview of the City’s winter operations (methods and priorities for snow removal).
General Meeting
Are you new to the area? Have you lived in Bend for decades? It’s been a few years since our last in-person general meeting. Come meet new friends and neighbors and learn about what’s going on in the Larkspur neighborhood.

Theme for our presentations this spring: Fire and Water
As we face another season of extreme drought in Deschutes County, our individual and community-wide responses to managing water are increasingly important. Daniel Denning, Utilities Program Manager and Rod Mingus, Water Operations Manager for the City of Bend will be discussing WaterWise Tips and water conservation strategies.
The sobering reality of increased fire danger is something we are learning to face as a community. Fire Battalion Chief Darren Root With Bend Fire & Rescue will discuss fire resiliency and the “Own Your Zone” campaign to decrease fire risks around your home.
We’ll also hear from Larkspur board members about what they’re working on to help improve street safety and foster a sense of community in our neighborhood.
